Evergreen Beauty College’s students are all unique and important to us as individuals. That’s why we take the time to feature some of the students who are taking the leap above and beyond our expectations. The Digital Marketing Award goes to one of our amazing esthetics students, Jane So! Congrats, Jane!
About Jane
Our students come from all types of backgrounds and previous career fields. We asked Jane to share why she decided to make the transfer to esthetics school and what she was doing before.
“I chose cosmetology/esthetician school because I wanted to deepen my passion for beauty and wellness. Before enrolling in the program, I worked for Nordstrom as a Beauty Stylist and makeup artist for over 7 years. I traveled all over the United States and have met so many inspiring people in the beauty industry!”
You go, Jane! The opportunity to see the world while you work is one that many people don’t get. We are so glad that she has found her passion! Next, we asked her to share what skills she believes have become her top strengths.
“I’ve been exposed to so many areas in beauty! My strengths would be makeup, skincare and facials. My passion to make people look and feel beautiful has always challenged me to seek more knowledge and learn from my mentors.”
Esthetics and cosmetology both give students and professionals the chance to help their guests and clients look beautiful. Client satisfaction and communication are some of the skills that we teach here at Evergreen. We asked Jane why clients should book with her. She said, “Clients should book an appointment with me because they will have an unforgettable experience. Not only will my client leave looking beautiful, they will feel beautiful inside as well! My goal is to bring out the best in all people. If you want your life to be changed, let me inspire you to your best!”
The Evergreen Experience
Now that we know a little bit about Jane, we wanted to know a bit about her personal experience at Evergreen. We asked her what she believes to be the most helpful assignment during her esthetics course. She said, “Honestly, I love interactive projects and working on different services with my classmates. I love the fact that we can learn freely with other classmates and be open to constructive criticism. We all learn differently and it[‘]s important to embrace our strengths and weaknesses”
Because all of our students are different, we know that their needs are different, too. We enjoy taking the time to learn about why students have chosen Evergreen as the place to learn. This is what Jane said, “I chose Evergreen Beauty College because they deliver a world class education and they really care about their students. I also love that they offer so many different courses for different areas of focus.
The team is so friendly and welcoming!”

The Next Step
We believe that the first step to creating success for your future is to set goals. Always have something to work toward! Jane shared with us her career goals.
“I would love to be an educator and help market stylists to be successful! I also see myself having my own spa! I thrive when I get to help people succeed.”
We sincerely hope that Jane is able to reach all of her goals. She is achieving so much as a student already, and we have no doubt that she can do whatever she sets her mind to!
