Esthetics Student Success Story: Charity Robinson

We are excited to announce one of April’s Digital Marketing Award winners, Charity Robinson, a Master Esthetics student studying at our Everett Campus. Charity has already been in both the esthetics and medical field for a number of years prior as a makeup artist and a medical assistant. She decided to go back to school so she can put both of her areas of expertise to use to become a Medical Esthetician powerhouse! Charity still has quite a bit of time left at Evergreen and is projected to graduate next January! We are so intrigued to see all the wonderful things she is going to do while at Evergreen! Congratulations Charity!

About Charity

Charity has been a makeup artist for nearly twenty years and in that time, she has seen a vast array of styles and trends as the beauty industry is always changing and evolving. She has worked for several big-name companies in that time including and not limited to; Nordstrom, Sephora, Macys, Lancome and Philosophy. Along with working as a makeup artist, she was also a Medical Assistant at Providence before she decided to go back to school. “It has been my dream to go back to school for the Master Esthetics program for years. The timing was never right and now was the time.” We are so happy that she made the decision to join us at Evergreen!

The Evergreen Experience

Our Future Professionals learn many different things during their time at Evergreen. What are some of Charity’s favorite things she has learned so far in her program? “My favorite has been learning chemical peels, hair removal and facials. The program that has been the most helpful is waxing.

It is an area that I didn’t know and this knowledge will strengthen my skills as an esthetician.” The subject Charity is really excited about is how to use lasers for laser hair removal. That is one of the areas that takes our esthetics program to the next level!

We love watching all of our students learn and grow during their time with us. Each and every one finds their own niche that separates them from their peers. “I think what separates me from other estheticians is that I compete against myself to improve my skill daily. I try not to compare myself to others because each person has their own gift and talent. I strive to improve my personal skills daily.” That’s a wonderful thing and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

 The Next Step

Charity is on track to graduate from the Master Esthetician Program in mid-January of 2018. During that time, she will perfect her skills and knowledge before she spreads her wings in the beauty industry. After graduation, she wants to work in a clinic or rent a space in a spa. She will not only be building her clientele while on her own, but she can also take care of the clients she has gained while at Evergreen. We know that once you find a wonderful esthetician, it’s hard to break away and try someone new.

We always love hearing advice from our students that we can pass along to our future professionals that are currently enrolled or that are thinking about joining the Evergreen family. Here is what Charity has to say; “Everyday will not be easy when attending school and you will succumb obstacles, but keep going and never give up on your dreams.” Very well said Charity!
