evergreenbeauty Makeup Brushes The Different Types of Makeup Brushes Used By Makeup ArtistsThe key to creating a professional makeup look is using the right makeup brushes. While consumers are always on the lookout for new colors and products, they often neglect to think about brushes. This is a shame as the right brushes can help make-up artists create a perfect finish. Not to mention, using brushes instead of fingers stops the spread of blemish causing bacteria.

What Makeup Brushes Do Make-up Artists Need?

As there are so many different types of brushes out there, consumers may be confused as to which brushes they need. Listed below are some of the brushes most commonly used by make-up artists.

1.  Foundation Brushes

A lot of women use their fingers to apply foundation. While this method provides an even coverage, it can spread bacteria. This can be avoided by using a foundation brush. These brushes can give the skin a full and even coverage. They can also get into difficult areas such as around the nose and the corners of the eyes.

2.  Face Powder Brushes

Powder brushes are used to set foundation. Due to this, good brushes should only pick up a small amount of powder.

3.  Blusher Brushes

Blusher brushes are smaller than powder brushes as they are only used on the cheekbones. The bristles are loosely packed so that the brush does not pick up too much color. This brush type can also be used with bronzer.

4.  Eyeshadow Brushes

Make-up artists will need to invest in a few different types of eyeshadow brushes. Rounded eyebrow brushes are used to deliver precise application. Consumers will also need to get a couple of blending brushes. These brushes ensure that the colors merge seamlessly into one another. Most make-up artists have a small and a large blending brush. Lastly, consumers should get an angled eyeshadow brush. This brush can be used for applying shadow regularly, creating sharp lines and applying eyeliner.

5.  Lip Brushes

Lip brushes are used to apply lipstick precisely. People who do not use a bush may apply an uneven coating or go over their lip line.

6.  Eyebrow Brushes and Combs

Once make-up artists have completed a make-up job, they will brush out the eyebrows and eyelashes using combs. They do this to create a smooth finish.

Do Consumers Need to Buy Accessories for Their Makeup Brushes?

Buyers will need to purchase brush cleaning solution and a brush storage bag. A full set of brushes can cost hundreds of dollars. However, makeup brushes are well worth the cost for professional make-up artists.
