It always amazes me the amount of people outside of Washington state who are interested in attending Evergreen. And this includes people all around the world! It goes to say a lot about the presence that Evergreen has made for itself on a digital level.
Sometimes in life, people grow up knowing that they want to become a cop when they grow up, or maybe a chef, or a writer.
More often than not, people discover their passions and decide what career path they want to take when they are young. Whether it be a doctor, police officer, or hair stylist, they discover their passions and interests and make the decision. Different experiences trigger different discoveries and interests.
Sometimes in life, people discover their passions at a young age. Others it takes a little time to figure out their path. Luckily, for our Digital Marketing Award winner for the month of May at our Renton Campus, Shelby Wunch, she always knew that hair was her passion.

A new “Hair Design” license has been introduced in Washington State. Prior to 2016, those that wanted to cut and color hair signed up for a Cosmetology Program.
Last year, a new “Hair Design” license that was introduced in Washington State. Prior to 2016, only two distinctions were available when it came to professions styling hair in the state; either you were a Cosmetologist or a Barber.
