Cosmetology school helps students with talent and a passion for the beauty industry hone their skills and pave the way to working as professional stylists, skin care specialists, barbers, or nail tech gurus. We welcome students coming from any background with the drive to succeed.

In addition to teaching our students the fundamentals and more advanced practices, we train each student in business relations and best practices. Upon graduation, students will feel more confident pursuing their dream in the beauty industry and forge a new career with a well-rounded understanding of techniques and business operations.

Standard Requirements

Age

Students 18 and older are eligible to apply. In many circumstances, we admit students who are 16 and older. At Evergreen Beauty College, we believe that no one is too old to reinvent their careers. There is empowerment and joy in the pursuit of learning at any age.

Application

We encourage all future students to submit an online application. One of the admissions team members will contact you and may require applicants to submit additional documents.

Assessment Tests

Students must have a high school diploma or a GED to enroll since Evergreen Beauty College is a post-secondary institution. Assessment tests usually consist of testing computer skills. Students must have basic computer skills to keep up with the demand of coursework as part of your school is delivered online. Students are required to achieve a minimum grade in each area of the assessment test.

Financial Aid

loans grants and scholarships

Evergreen’s financial aid office offers different programs for which you may be eligible. Our advisors will walk you through the steps and help you appeal for the funds you need to attend classes. We will help you advocate for your future career.

Some of the financial programs include:

  • Grants
  • Private and federal loans
  • Work retraining funds
  • Scholarships
  • Industry salon/Spa sponsored programs
  • Monthly payment options

Expectations

As full-time cosmetology students, students can expect to meet five times per week. Full-time students will attend classes and successfully complete 1,600 clock hours of the cosmetology course.

Evergreen Beauty College is Nationally Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Careers Art & Sciences (NACCAS). We partner with some North West top industry professionals, including Murad MD Partnership School, Make-Up Designory (MUD) Partner School, and CND (Creative Nail Design) Partnership School.

Students will participate in on-site and off-site events, get hands-on practice, work with industry professionals, and book appointments with real clients.

If you’re interested in learning more about Evergreen Beauty College, schedule a tour at one of our campuses or book an online tour.

Thanks for sharing how there are assessment tests done before someone can go to cosmetology school. My daughter wants to go to one. I’ll see if I can find a test for her to take somewhere.

Hello. I want to go to cosmetology school and was wondering if you could do and learn all of the cosmetology learnings at once so as Nails, hair, skincare, makeup. (That’s cause I wish to do all of those and can’t choose one).

I also know that college is not require for cosmetology but can we still go and major in cosmetology? Will it make me look better with a college degree? And will I learn better? What happens if we go to college for cosmology of our own choice?

I am young and wish to go to a cosmetology school, but I was wondering if we need a good PSAT score to enter because most schools now don’t require it.
