Master Esthetics Student Success Story: Anya Gandasaputra

Our Renton campus has recently awarded one of our talented Master Estheticians, Ms. Anya Gandasaputra! Marketing her skills this early on in her career shows her hustle and motivation to succeed in the beauty industry. We are excited to share her journey through school as she builds her business.

About Anya Gandasaputra

Before enrolling into the Master Esthetic’s program, Ms. Anya was in school learning Interior Design.

She was working as a restaurant hostess at the time and got promoted to being a Certified National Trainer, so she eventually dropped her Interior Design classes to explore the world of Business Management for the restaurant industry.

Realizing this too wasn’t something that was bringing joy to her life, she decided to obtain a degree in Event Planning where she would specialize in weddings. After months of taking classes, however, she still found herself unmotivated. Not knowing what career path to take next, Anya chose to take some time off from school to work full time at her new job at Evergreen Beauty College in Everett as a Guest Coordinator. As she watched the future professionals build a career out of something they love, something clicked for her. Anya realized her passion was skin care, so she made the call to enroll and start school!

The Evergreen Experience

“School here has been such a life changing experience,” Ms. Anya shares. Loving all aspects of the Master Esthetician program, Anya has gained a lot of experience in facials, waxing, chemical peels, and lasers. “I used to think school wasn’t for me until I enrolled in Master Esthetics,” Ms. Anya added, “my perception has completely changed because I love what I’m learning now.”

Ms. Anya also recognizes her educators for being genuinely caring and helpful, “if anyone is confused about a concept, our educators really take the time to explain it and make sure everyone understands,” Anya explains. Ms. Anya’s favorite part of school is the hands-on practice. When she’s not in theory, she is making sure her time is filled with appointments or practicing services on her classmates. Ms. Anya also takes a particular interest in the medical side of Esthetics. Her favorite services to do include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser hair reduction. “I love seeing the glow in my clients after a micro, or the fresh, beautiful skin you see after a chemical peel is healed,” shares Ms. Anya, “It makes me excited and happy to see my clients get the results they want.”

Not only did Ms. Anya win our Digital Marketing Award, but she also received the award for Business Student of the Month and sold over $500 of retail in her first month of taking appointments! This is only the beginning of many accomplishments she plans on achieving in school.

The Next Step

Jumping from degree to degree, Ms. Anya refused to settle for anything that she wasn’t passionate about. Now that she has found what she loves, she dedicates 100% of herself to every service performed and guarantees that her clients can trust in her! As for current plans after graduating, she is looking to join a Medical Spa and wants to dedicate some time to experience lashing in the industry as well.

We love asking our future professionals what advice they would give to any incoming students, Ms. Anya stated “If your heart is in it, go for it! Let yourself fall into your passions and never stop trying to grow and be better.”

Ms. Anya Gandasaputra is set to graduate June 2020. If you are interested in continuing to follow Anya throughout the rest of her program, you can check out her IG: @dreamylashandskin. Congratulations Ms. Anya! We look forward to watching you blossom in this beautiful industry.
