We are lucky to have a national presence right here in the greater Seattle area to have a board of director. The Executive Director of AACS Jim Cox recognizes a board member each year for going above and beyond their commitment to the industry and as you can see in the video above, the 2015 AACS Board of Director goes to Frank Trieu of Evergreen Beauty Colleges in Bellevue, Everett & Renton.
Thank you to Mr. Frank for dedicated countless amount of volunteer time and travel to in working with schools across the country to ensure the beauty career education continues to grow and develop and make this profession one of the most respected professions! Many colleges are not able to provide a school owner to invest and volunteer this much time for the beauty industry, therefore, thank you to all the team members at Evergreen Beauty College for working hard and going above and beyond to allow Mr. Frank the ability to pave the way for our industry.
We are so proud of you Frank for your heart and care for all of us! The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) mission is to make the hair, beauty and wellness profession recognized as a premier career of choice driven by a thriving member school community.
AACS was founded in 1924 as a Non-Profit Educational Association to bring together all facets of the cosmetology industry (students, individuals, teachers, and suppliers); to further the education of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences; and to represent the interests of cosmetology institutions and students before Congress, the U.S. Department of Education, and state legislatures.
The purpose of the Association is to keep members abreast of changes in federal and state laws and regulations, provide the membership with educational services, to promote the welfare of cosmetology education in the United States, to establish a unity of spirit and understanding among institutions and their instructional staff in pursuing thea goals and resolving the problems related to post-secondary cosmetology education.
AACS is not only made up of a hundreds of member schools all across North America, but have beauty college leaders that are elected to the Board of Directors (14) to represent and help strategically architect and plan for the future of careers in the beauty industry. You can see all the Board of Directors here.
