At EBC, we work hard to keep our tuition affordable. In addition, Federal Student Aid is available for those who qualify. Admission Requirements for Instructor Training School

*All applicants for admissions must:

  • Be above the age of compulsory education in the state of Washington (16 Years Old).
  • Present proof of High School Diploma, its equivalent (or higher), a transcript showing high school completion, or a certificate of attainment.  The school does not admit ‘Ability to
  • Benefit’ students.
  • Provide a copy of a valid state or federal issued photo ID.
  • Apply, be interviewed and accepted for the chosen program.

In addition to meeting the above Admissions and Enrollment Requirements, prior to starting classes, students must:

  • Submit a Registration Fee to the College.

EBC is an accredited beauty college. That means we meet strict educational standards. It also means that our students are eligible to apply for financial aid while those attending non-accredited schools are not.

Our Instructor Training Program is designed to provide tomorrow’s educators with the skills they need to teach. You’ll learn how to perform demos, how to set up the classroom, effective ways to lead a class, and much more.

Our Everett campus provides ample space for hands-on learning. Students quickly move from practicing on mannequins to working with real clients in our on-site salon and spa. By combining online assignments with in-person learning, we help you learn and grow without feeling overloaded.

Earn Up To 300 Hours For Your Industry Experience

If you are looking to develop and advance your career, increase job options, move from behind the chair to a leadership role, or expand your leadership & communication skills, our 600 clock-hour program has an option where we can credit up to 300 hours for work experience! Depending on your work experience, your instructor training program could be completed by attending class just 2 days a week for approximately 16 weeks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM

Are you thinking about attending our instructor training program? Here’s what you should know about Evergreen Beauty College and becoming a beauty instructor.

To enroll in our Instructor Training program, you must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid operator’s license in your field (cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, or nail technology). You’ll need to provide proof of licensure and complete an admissions interview. Previous work experience in your licensed field is beneficial.

The program requires 600 hours of training, typically completed in about 16 weeks. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate working professionals. Plus, you may receive up to 300 hours of credit for documented work experience in your licensed field, potentially reducing your program length.

Our curriculum covers teaching methods, lesson planning, classroom management, and student evaluation techniques. You’ll learn how to create engaging demonstrations, assess student progress, and maintain required documentation. The program includes both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience under supervision.

Graduates can pursue careers as beauty school instructors, corporate trainers, or education directors. Some become platform artists or work with beauty product manufacturers in education roles. Others advance to school administration positions or open their own beauty schools. The program prepares you for the Washington State Instructor License.

Yes, our program is designed with working professionals in mind. With flexible scheduling options and the potential to receive credit for work experience, you can balance your current job with your instructor training. Many students continue working in their licensed field while completing the program.
