Children’s Day/Book Day is a free community event hosted by the Mount Vernon Library that is a celebration of children, families, and reading. The event is full of games, arts and crafts, book giveaways, entertainment and food. Evergreen Beauty College students volunteer to paint faces for children at this event each year.

All participating locations are doing the event on the same day, August 21st 11am-3pm.  No appointment needed; services are on a first come first serve basis.  All are welcome to attend!  On this day, we close our student salons and spas for normal guest services and open our doors to the public for this kid-focused community…
