We are dedicated to providing high quality, beauty and wellness support services in-hospital to patients in order to strengthen the dignity, hope, and self-esteem of individuals with cancer or other chronic illness. The Seattle Area Program Manager will work closely with the Lipstick Angels Executive Director and Operations Director (headquartered in Los Angeles, CA) and operate the organization in the Seattle area. The Program Manager will be the key Lipstick Angels leader in the Seattle area and will operate the Lipstick Angels Hospital Program that performs its work inside area hospitals. As well as being responsible for the recruiting, coordinating, and supervising of all volunteer activities, the Program Manager will act as a liaison between hospital staff, clients, the community, supporters, and volunteers. They will also work with Lipstick Angels staff in the planning and management of hospital and partner special events. The Program Manager, when not at the hospital, will be expected to work remotely out of a home office atmosphere. Responsibilities: Lead the volunteer program/services • Be trained as a Lipstick Angel and perform those duties in Seattle area hospitals • Be present in each hospital program at least twice per month (You must complete the requirement even if scheduled shifts are filled by volunteers.) • Help identify, develop and implement creative strategies and recruitment methods to attract and retain a qualified pool of volunteers to maintain efficient operations and adequately staff events • Ensure policies and procedures, which guide the volunteer programs and services and reflect the overall values of the organization, are followed • Work with Executive Director to identify and train key person at each hospital for additional responsibilities (key volunteer/trainer role) • Coordinate with Hospital Volunteer Department to process applications, background checks, health clearances, etc. • Orient volunteers to increase their understanding of the organization, its clients, its services and the role and responsibilities of volunteers • Ensure that volunteers are appropriately trained to be successful in their positions • Adhered to Support Session schedule for each volunteer to cultivate a post-training connection, as well as observe and evaluate volunteer conduct and performance • Assist with conflict resolution among clients, staff and volunteers according to established procedures • Ensure that volunteers work in a safe, healthy and supportive environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations • Implement formal and informal volunteer recognition activities to recognize the contribution of volunteers to the organization • Coordinate with Social Media Manager to promote volunteer accomplishments on social media and within marketing materials • Oversee, stock, maintain and update the hospital makeup kits • Deliver at least one comment card via email to each volunteer per month • Collaborate with hospital staff and Lipstick Angels HQ to collect comment cards and ensure that they are delivered to the appropriate parties • Seek out hospital and team-building events for you and your volunteers to participate in Plan, produce and administer hospital events • Work in collaboration with hospital staff and Lipstick Angels headquarters to plan, design and produce hospital events. • Manage hospital event details such as catering, invitations, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc. • Coordinate with Social Media Manager to promote events • Be available to attend/participate/promote outside events with strategic partners Organizational Development • Maintain and report accurate program statistics to Lipstick Angels HQ • Work with fellow Lipstick Angels team members on various projects assigned by the office • Propose and implement projects that promote the organization • Take initiative to build personal skills that will build up the mission and cause of the organization Required Skills • 3-5 years of leadership experience • Must be a qualified makeup artist and/or licensed esthetician • Must be comfortable working in a hospital setting with seriously and terminally ill patients • Must be comfortable taking on responsibility and working independently • Must pass a background check • Must complete all hospital required health clearance procedures • Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to manage multiple projects independently • Effective planning and organizational skills • Behave ethically: Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of Lipstick Angels • Outgoing and positive-natured • Sound decision-making and problem resolution skills • Open to new and innovative strategies to help streamline Lipstick Angels team operations • Willing to research and offer creative solutions independently • Effectively communicate with Lipstick Angels staff, volunteers, hospital partners, supports, etc. • An established network in the philanthropic circles is a significant plus • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft, G Suite, other online tools, etc.) • Must keep up-to-date on technology and tools used by the organization • Must be proactive in learning and staying current with modern technological, computer and social media skills. Details: | The Urban Studios is seeking Full-time and Part-time Estheticians, Nail Artists & Massage Therapists Compensation: Hourly/Commission + Tips + Bonus Location: Downtown Seattle Description: Looking for positive individuals who love what they do and are passionate about skincare, waxing, massage and body treatments. Seeking friendly, positive, hard-working, energetic individuals to train on skincare, facials, waxing, dermaplaning and lash lifts. Ideal massage therapist can perform Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy and pregnancy massage. Nail artist will have sanitary manicure/pedicure practices. Knowledge of gel and natural nail services required. Must be willing to put in the effort of building a clientele and working with mine. Must come to work appropriately dressed, on-time and ready to work. Responsibilities: Must keep a clean workspace and provide stellar customer service to clients. Will be responsible for being on time to work, assisting with the front desk, social media/marketing efforts and inventory management. About The Urban Studios: The Urban Studios is a three-year old business currently consisting of skincare/waxing/beauty services and newly added nail services and massage and body treatments. The booking rate of the owner and esthetician is 96% so seeking motivated and loyal esthetician to take client overflow, new clientele and build a business within the growing downtown hub. Nail artist will work alongside existing nail artist with 10+ years experience. Must have a warm disposition, proficient body waxing skills/technique, efficient time management skills, clear and direct written/verbal skills, ability to communicate clearly, team player, exceptional customer service skills, self-starter, motivated, smart, ability to take direction and feedback. Previous experience not required. Schedule: Flexible hours and open to discuss but ideal schedule would be as follows: Esthetician: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (11-7), Saturday (10-3) Nail Artist: Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday (10-7), Saturday (10-3) Massage: Wednesday/Thursday/ Friday (10-7), Saturday (10-3) Training: Hands-on training and models will be provided to ensure same skill level as owner/esthetician. New hire will specialize in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, waxing, lash lifts, facials and possibly microblading (providing new hire interest). Massage therapists will be trained on body treatments made exclusively for The Urban Studios including custom body bronzing. Nail artists will be offered professional training on Orly /Orly FX and gel nail products. A training contract will be part of the employment contract.
