Beauty School Scholarships

about evergreen beauty collegeWho isn’t strapped for a little extra cash these days?! Some people aren’t, but there’s a lot of us who are! As an Admissions Counselor I get asked a lot about scholarships, and how either a current student or prospective student can go about applying for them. Scholarships are great because, unlike a loan, that’s money you don’t have to pay back.

Here is a list of scholarships that are great for beauty school students, but don’t forget there are hundreds of different scholarships out there and will might require a little more extra work and research done on your end 🙂

Eligible Esthetics students can receive a $1,000 scholarship while attending school. Applicants must be midway through a training only program and maintain an 80% attendance and an 80% grade average. Application deadline for winter quarter: DECEMBER 1st, 2013

  • OPI Scholarship

You must be enrolled or in the process of enrolling in an OPI preferred Nail Tech or Cosmetology program for licensure. Please submit the application along with a 1-2 page essay explaining why you want to become a Nail Tech/Cosmetologist. Upcoming deadlines: NOVEMBER 3o, 2013 & DECEMBER 31st, 2013.

  • Alice Madden Barton Cosmetology School Scholarship

Scholarships are available for current students, high school students and those pursuing a career in Cosmetology or Barbering. Application Deadline: DECEMBER 31st, 2013.

  • Professional Beauty Association Scholarship

Annually, 7 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school graduates desiring to enter the Cosmetology profession. Application deadline: NOVEMBER 15th, 2013
