Digital Marketing Award: Nadia Demyanova
Everybody has their reasons for joining a specific industry and we were so happy to hear that this month’s Digital Marketing Award winner, Nadia Demyanova, is on the path to following her passions she’s had since she was a teenager! Nadia is about halfway through the Cosmetology program at Evergreen and we were so excited to learn more about her experiences at school, what her dreams and goals are, and what sets her apart from the other stylists on the salon floor.
About Nadia
Often times our students have passions for all different aspects of the beauty industry and Nadia in particular loves styling hair and doing make-up. “I’ve chosen to go for my passion I have had for so many years. I used to do hair and make-up for special occasions since I was 15 and colored my family’s hair since I was 13. I decided to take it further and learn the proper ways and build stronger in this career.”
“Make-up, color (Balayage) is my fav!! So trendy right now. Hairstyling is also my favorite!! Cutting. Not as much but I will do it!”
The Evergreen Experience
The Evergreen Experience doesn’t just begin on your first day of school, it starts when you first walk 
through the doors for your career planning session with an admissions counselor. It sounds like Nadia has had a wonderful experience from the very beginning! We asked Nadia why she chose to attend Evergreen Beauty College, “So friendly, super close to my house.”
As far as her experiences since she’s been in school, “You know, I’m so hands on, and demo of color, balayage, haircut has been the most helpful to me. When I started working on the floor I felt so much safer to practice my own techniques and it’s turned out fantastic!”
Sometimes the salon floor can be a bit competitive and it’s only preparing you for what it will be like in a professional salon after graduation. On Evergreen’s full-service salon and spa floors, clients can book with a student of their choice and so we wanted to know what separates Nadia from the other stylists. “I build a strong relationship with them! I work to make my clients happy. They cannot walk out of my chair until their look is perfect!”
The Next Step
Nadia’s plans after graduation? She wants to continue what she’s been doing since she was a teenager — special occasion hair and make-up!
“I want to do wedding hair and make-up on the side and I want to work for the runways. Highlight the models beauty before they walk out on the big floor. I’m very quick. I hope they hear about me and hire me!”
As a seasoned student we wanted to know if Nadia had any advice for incoming students. “Don’t hesitate to follow your dream. Do not give up in the beginning, push through it and 
you will be successful.”
