Esthetics Student Success Story: Blair Bercich
Have you ever met an individual that has a contagious personality? Where positivity exudes all that they do or say? Where you want to share and trust, knowing that the individual on the other end truly wants to listen and help? That is how I felt when I first met Blair. This industry is made for a person like Blair Bercich, who takes the customer service to a whole new level when she is interacting with her clients.
About Blair 
Being no stranger to Evergreen before enrolling in our Esthetics program, Blair has been apart of the Evergreen family in other avenues. “For over two years I have worked as the Front Desk Coordinator at our Bellevue location. In my position, I get to witness the incredible transformations that students create with our guests. The confidence that students can bring to their guests is something that I knew I wanted to be part of.” Blair not only sees the industry for what it has to offer many individuals out there, but also what she can offer to those that come in to get pampered by her. It isn’t just about the ‘work’ but more so, how Blair can treat the inner person occupying her treatment room. For Blair it’s about what she can accomplish for the soul of the ladies and gentlemen trusting in her.
Blair hasn’t always ventured the avenue of the beauty industry, “Before I started working at Evergreen Beauty College, I graduated from the University of Washington and was going to continue my education to obtain my Master’s Degree at Seattle University. After getting accepted into the Master’s program, I was torn because I knew that my passion was leading me into the Beauty Industry. Now that I have started school, I have no regrets. I am exactly where I need to be.” It’s funny how life pulls us in a totally different direction sometimes, though it may be scary to most; to reroute ourselves in another direction and toward change, Blair was all in the day she made that choice to follow her passion! So what made her choose Evergreen Beauty College in the first place? “I love Evergreen Beauty College and it’s not because I work there, but it’s the overall CULTURE that is embedded within this company. The staff creates this wonderful atmosphere that makes students feel comfortable. I didn’t have to think twice about making my decision in coming to Evergreen, it was a no-brainer.”
The Evergreen Experience 
Since starting school Blair has been able to dive in to theory classes and practical procedures. “All our demonstrations in class have been extremely helpful. It’s important to get a visual and to see how a professional conducts services.” You can tell just from that statement alone how Blair values the overall aspect of the treatments we offer others. Not only does Blair take away the knowledge and hands on we learn throughout Esthetics, but she dissects what she sees and truly watches for the professionalism and relationship building blocks within the service. So many other individuals think that if they have the technique and can pass their state boards they will be successful. I wish that it was that easy. Much of our success within the beauty industry is more that, its the communication and customer services aspects that will carry us to the top. Witnessing Blair fine tuned this skills is HUGE and incredible to see. “I am personable and enjoy being able to relate to everyone that I meet. We are all human and that is a powerful thing, there is always SOMETHING that we can connect on and I always try to find out what that is.”
Blair is officially on the clinic floor at our Everett location and it has been fun watching her grow as an individual, let alone a future professional. Every client leaves with warms wishes, a hug and a smile on their face. Blair’s focus is on the client, and the client only until that individual has stepped out the doors. “Each Esthetician is special in their own way, and I look forward to showing each client what makes me different. My main intentions with each client is to make them feel beautiful, happy and to leave them better than they came and to hopefully make them laugh because there is no better medicine than laughter,” says Blair. If your soul is happy you’ll be healthy and infectious, just like Blair.
The Next Step 
As Blair rolls into the last months of her Esthetics program, she already has a vision set in place once school is complete. “After graduating, I would like to work at well-renowned spa to continue my education and learn more. Concurrently, I will launch my own business, Bercachy Beauty. Lashing, waxing, facials, brow and lash tinting/lifting and spray tanning etc. will all be offered. Hosting Beauty parties is something that I look forward to,” Blair said. I have no doubt that these goals will aspire because Blair know about the dedication it takes to get them going. Beauty Parties? Sign me up!
If you could leave some words of wisdom for the future students to follow what would they be? “Enjoy your time, choose happiness and success over everything. Everything you choose to do in your life, have good intentions. Be YOURSELF and be open to change! You got this!” said Blair.
