Jim Yates Visits Evergreen!

photoJim Yates, founder and CEO of the business program Nuts and Bolts, doesn’t visit many schools during his busy year. However, he made a special trip to Seattle for Evergreen Beauty College’s quarterly graduation, held on July 14th at the Lynwood Convention Center. Jim was named the commencement speaker for the second time at Evergreen Beauty College’s fun and always exciting graduations!

Jim visited all three of Evergreen’s campuses: Everett, Bellevue and Renton over a two day span. During his visits he spent a solid two hours or so speaking for the Future Professionals. He spoke of professionalism, building your business, business tactics, as well as stories from his own experiences in the beauty industry.

Kara Hoffman, Financial Aid Counselor, said, “Jim is amazing! He has this aura about him that draws people to him. When he talks to the students, they are completely engaged in what he is saying.” Both the Future Professionals and staff always get so excited for Jim’s visits! Everett welcomed Mr. Yates with balloons, banners and an enthusiastic energy! The Future Professionals get to know Jim through the tutorials and classes they take as a part of the business aspect of their education, so there is always a special anticipation for when Jim makes his visits to the Pacific Northwest. Shayla Freitas, Esthetic student at the Renton campus, said, “[Jim] is full of knowledge and you can tell he is very passionate.”

Evergreen officially became a Nuts and Bolts partner school back in 2007 and have been ’embracing change’ ever since. We’ve had a number international placers and hope to have many more in the future. Thank you, Jim, for taking the time to embrace our wonderful school, students, and staff! Please come and visit again soon!
