Master Esthetics Student Success Story: Taryn Newell

I remember the first day Taryn Newell started at Evergreen Beauty College, she exudes and models maturity and wisdom to her fellow Master Esthetics department since that first day in orientation. Always leading by example and striving to make a difference where she could. I am beyond excited to share Ms. Taryn’s success story!

About Taryn Newell

“Prior to starting school I was a stay at home mom and owner of Lets Toast 360- an event bartending company,” states Taryn. Already knowing the hard work, effective communication and dedication it takes to run and manage a company will only be an asset to Ms. Taryn as she heads into the journey the beauty industry has to offer.

Taryn adds, “I chose the Master Esthetician program because I was very interested in laser hair removal, but found a new fond love for making others feel great about their skin.” Throughout her program, Taryn has committed to bringing the best practice into her treatments to her clients; building relationships and trust. Taryn is there to guide her clients to realistic goals that are obtainable by an esthetician looking out for the whole client. There’s a difference between an esthetician looking to fill their books and keep busy and esthetician that’s focus on making the client fall in love with their own skin.

Why Evergreen? “I chose evergreen because it was very welcoming when I showed up for my tour. Everyone was kind and it just seemed like the right fit for me,” answered Taryn.

The Evergreen Experience

Entering beauty college with a focus on LASERs, I asked Taryn what exactly is her favorite part of school: “My favorite part of school is customizing facials per individual and watching their face light up when they see the results,” stated Taryn. “It’s exciting to be able to talk to a client, and with past history and goals, creating a treatment specifically designed for that individual. Creating a physical treatment prescription for that clients needs.”

“I’d say my strengths as an Esthetician would be my compassion towards others and ability to let others feel comfortable on the table. Clients should book with me because they will not only see results but they will leave feeling relaxed and renewed,” says Taryn.

“As for advice for any incoming student is to work hard and gain as much experience as possible. It goes by quick!”

The Next Step

“When I graduate I am hoping to obtain employment at a local resort and spa in the Blaine area. I’d love to eventually open my own wellness and Medi-spa, where I can practice Rieki healing as well as other spa treatments. I would also like to go back to school for a nutritionist degree or naturopath, ” commented Taryn. Even though Taryn is near the end of her program here at EBC, it sounds like it’s just the being for this beautiful soul. Taryn  is dedicated to the whole health of the individual that walks through the door. Part of Esthetics that not many focus on is the whole heath that affect the outer skin we work with on a day to day basis. Many come to solve problems on the outside, and not fully understanding the challenges we encounter a lot deeper than that we see. Knowing Taryn, it doesn’t surprise me for her desire for continued growth in the natural approach to whole health, considering Taryn lives that lifestyle already and has always been eager to share the knowledge she already knew prior to enrolling at EBC.

Ms. Taryn graduates this August 2018 and what better way to support her other than to stop in and get pampered and some relaxation with her in the spa at our Everett campus location!
