Advance Education Finalist: Highlighting Master Esthetics Program by Evergreen Beauty College awarded by Modern Salon Magazine

WaterMassageModern Salon Magazine honored Evergreen Beauty College…

as one of the top 3 beauty colleges multi-unit category in North America in Excellence in Education for “Next Level: Advance Education & Alumni Program” on November 17th 2014,

They were joined by MC College in Edmonton, Canada as well as Beau Monde College of Hair Design in Portland, Oregon. You can see the press release here.

This is an area that Evergreen Beauty College focuses on building. There are different ways that they deliver post education: some of which they do themselves and others one through partnership. Classes that they have done organically include:

1. Master Esthetic Grandfathering: In Washington State, a new Master Esthetic license was introduce in 2014. They offered a post – graduate program to help licensed estheticians to upgrade their license to perform lasers, radio frequency, medium depth peels, etc. They are on track to graduate more estheticians with this new licensing through this grandfathering program than any other institution in the state.

In addition to offering a strong program, they have encourage their students and alumni’s to continue their education by finding partner medical offices, product companies, to sponsor our graduates’ kits and books. They have found these sponsors through George Min MD, voted “Top Doctors in Seattle” and Image Skin Care to sponsor their students’ kits which has allowed them, and their students, this success. Alumni have thanked them for helping them achieve their next goals.

2. Partnership Classes: Chemical Peel Classes, Lash Extension, Body treatments, etc.: They have partnered with IMAGE Skin Care to offer chemical peel classes, Nova Lash and Lash out load to offer advanced classes as well as different vendors to offer advanced education.

3. Straight Razor Shaving Classes: They are one of the few beauty schools that train their cosmetologists on straight razor shaves. For those that haven’t had an opportunity to train with them, they have expanded the offering for those to join them.

They continue to build their alumni network. In addition to a heavily promoted Facebook page with over 11,000 Likes (all organic, no paid initiatives), they have invited alumni to come back as guest speakers, partnered up as mentors, and help us develop some of our programs as advising members. They also make a point to send out a gift basket to every single graduate once we hear that they have secured a job; by sending them a gift basket shows that they acknowledge their success and the relationship doesn’t stop after graduation. Students also have unlimited access to the owners in terms of assistance; they message them for help with job placement, business consulting, etc.
