Digital Marketing Award: Rose-Anne Nicolas
This month, our Digital Marketing Award goes to one of our talented and fun esthetics students. We wanted to show her how much we appreciate and admire all the hard work she puts into learning her craft. This month’s winner is Rose-Anne Nicolas! Congrats, Rose-Anne!
About Rose-Anne
“I have always had a passion for anything in the beauty world. From such a young age[,] I fell in love with makeup, although it was not until I was 18 years old that I started to experiment on my own. I didn’t [know] I would end up along this career path. Before school, I received my Bachelors in Biology through UW and was working for Seattle Children’s Hospital.”
Some of our other students, like Rose-Anne, started off in the medical or healthcare field, too. Our students love taking care of people and making them feel their very best! It’s no surprise that the transfer from the healthcare industry into the beauty industry is common.
One of the most important parts of working in a service industry job like esthetics is client relations. We asked Rose-Anne to share why clients should book with her, and what sets her apart from other estheticians.
“I really do care about helping you! Whether it’s with clear up your skin, or just being a place to escape for relaxation, I am here for you! I don’t try to come across as pushy, but as a friend you can come to for advice without judgement.”
The Evergreen Experience
We asked Rose-Anne to share her favorite part of the program, what she specializes in, and what she finds to be most helpful during school.
“I love it all, but mostly facials and makeup. I love being able to watch my clients trust me as they destress through the facials. Nothing feels more rewarding than a client asleep during one of my facials. I am a freelance makeup artist and have been doing makeup for a couple years now, so I would say that is my specialty.”
“I love the hands on practice that we get [at school]. I learn the best when I am able to work through my own mistakes.”

So what made Rose-Anne choose Evergreen Beauty College?
“I used to work for Evergreen years ago when I was still in college as a guest coordinator. I loved the people I worked with and the Trieu family are so welcoming. I would have never wanted to go anywhere else.”
We strive to make our environment warm and welcoming, and we are glad that she felt so at home during her previous employment here. We are even more happy that she remembered the way that we made her feel and that she returned to us to learn!
The Next Step
We always encourage our students to set goals during their time here at Evergreen. We believe that setting and working toward goals is an important part of creating a successful esthetician. Here is what Rose-Anne had to say about her goals for the future.
“I originally wanted to work at a medical office and specialize in lasers, but the longer I am in school, the more I want to open my own little spa. I’m more interested in leasing a little area where I am able to offer facials, lashes and peels!”

This is what Rose-Anne has to say to incoming students about pursuing a beauty education.
“Nothing is better than waking up and doing what you love to do everyday. I have heard so many people say it, “if you love what you do, it will never feel like work”. It honestly is so true. I used to wake up and not look forward to going to work. If you don’t do it now, when will you? Just take a leap of faith, you won’t regret it!”
