About Gigi Kristy
Gigi, a future professional at our Mount Vernon campus, executed these classic lashes for enhancing her natural eye color.
Sometimes life throws not just lemons but the whole fruit basket! The last 2 years have made so many of us to step back and redirect our career journey. And for Gigi Kristy the Pandemic was what gave her cause to step back and pause. Gigi is “a licensed ABA therapist and pre Covid worked with autistic children.” She shared how “Covid hit the pause button on my life as I am sure it did for many. The forced time off really had me re-examining my dreams and goals.” And like a lot of us during that time, she reached out to do a little self-maintenance in the form of lash extensions. “The therapy and healing that organically happened in that lash room inspired me to dream.” And that was where the seed of beauty was planted for Gigi!
During her search for answers, Gigi decided she wanted a career where she could create Art and Beauty while helping empower others. In this process of seeking to serve others Gigi found her beginning step to that goal here at Evergreen Beauty College in Mt. Vernon, WA. And she is growing great!
The Evergreen Experience

The area that brings the most joy to Gigi’s school day is “lashing & waxing!” Gigi shared, “I love doing lash extensions along with lash lifts and tints. I also love sugaring and waxing with glitter!” She went on to express, “I love learning lashing from the best and had an incredible experience learning from my current instructor. I also enjoy all the extra certifications that school has connected me with.”
While building skills in the industry of Esthetics Gigi says she is developing “a therapeutic approach with services. With my background in Art and Therapy I can create a complete experience for the client that doesn’t just make the client feel beautiful, but also healed and empowered.” Putting the “client first” approach is what customer service is all about. Gigi takes it a step further with positive words and a beautiful experience for each guest which makes her appointments so special and unique.

The Next Step
When asked about her career plans after graduation Gigi was so excited to share that she is “opening my own Lash and Wax studio in February, located in Bellingham at Regus in Barkley Village. This is done with the mindful intention of making every client feel seen, heard and beautiful!” Gigi shared amazing advice for future professionals. “Chase your bliss and your journey through education will be magical!”
