Esthetics Student Success Story: Jessie Tisch

About Jessie Tisch

Jessie performed a relaxing facial for her client.

A lot of us come to a point in our lives when we take a step back realize that it is time to do what makes you happy and pursue our dreams. That’s exactly what happened with Jessie Tisch. “I was in banking management before school and specialized in business banking. I worked at the same bank for four years. I was responsible for training tellers and taking care of my branch’s business clientele. As much as I loved my job, realized that I was not made to sit at a desk every day and decided to pursue what I know would make me happy.

” Jessie explains.

When we asked Jessie why she chose Esthetics this is what she shared with us. “I love Esthetics because it allows me to make others feel like the best version of themselves. It’s so emotionally rewarding to show clients how beautiful they are. I’ve always been so passionate about skincare and self-care and love how esthetics allows me to turn my passion into a career.” Evergreen Beauty College has such a fun and supportive community that makes your journey so much fun. My instructor and my classmates are some of my favorite people I’ve ever met. Evergreen truly cares about you and your future and give you so many tools to become successful in your industry.

The Evergreen Experience

Since starting the Esthetics program with us Jessie Tisch has shared some of her highlights of what she has enjoyed, what has helped her so far, and what sets her apart from other Estheticians. “My favorite has by far been facials. I love creating a peaceful cozy environment for clients to escape worries and realities while they focus on self-care. There is so much in our daily life that demands our time and energy, we often forget to take care of our own needs. Seeing a client relax and settle into their facial is the best feeling!! I have so much fun promoting self-love and self-care and really feel in my element during a relaxing facial.” Describes Jessie.

Jessie, one of our North Seattle Esthetics students is performing a Microdermabrasion treatment on her client.

In the Esthetics program, we have a lot of assignments to help us understand skincare ingredients. We spend so much time reading on what ingredients are in good skincare products, what ingredients to avoid, and what ingredients should be used based on the client’s individual skin type. This has been so helpful because it gives me confidence in knowing I have the knowledge to choose the best skincare products for my clients!

I love understanding the science behind Esthetics. My specialties are facials and eyebrow shaping! I love eyebrow laminations, eyebrow tints, and eyebrow waxing. I’m also planning on pursuing micro blading after school! Brow transformations are so satisfying and rewarding and have been one of my favorite parts of my esthetician journey. I have a holistic approach to my practice! I love to incorporate reiki, crystals, aromatherapy, and meditative breathing exercises into my facial services. I always strive to make my services a peaceful and tranquil escape for my clients and I’m willing to go by the extra mile to make sure it’s the most relaxing facial you’ve ever received.

The Next Step

Once completing the program, Jessie explains her plans within the industry and shares advice for incoming students. “My first goal is to find a spa to work in to focus on my facials! I also am planning on furthering my career by obtaining my Master Esthetician license so I can work in a medical spa. I would also love to get certified in microblading to expand my services as a brow artist. I’m interested in furthering my career as a lash technician and taking on lash clients after I graduate.” States Jessie.

Look at this gorgeous brow! Jessie nailed this brow wax for her client.

Starting something new can be scary but Jessie gives incoming students the best advice. “Never stop learning. Ask as many questions as possible. The instructors here are fabulous resources and are here to support you! If possible, continue your education through separate certifications (eyebrow laminations, volume lashes, etc) to give you an edge in the industry. It’ll give you even more services to offer your clients and it will look great on your resumé. Finally, biggest advice is to just enjoy your journey while you’re in school. It goes by so fast and it’ll be one of the best times of your life, it’s an amazing feeling to be surrounded by company who share your same passions and dreams.”

Jessie is set to graduate in January of 2022. And if you are interested in following Jessie for the rest of her program, you can check her out on Instagram:@Honeymoon_Esthetics Congratulations Ms. Jessie! Evergreen looks forward to seeing your dreams flourish.
