Awesome Esthetician Job Opportunities You Didn’t Know Existed

Esthetician Job Opportunities

Estheticians have a fantastic job – their role is to help people feel more beautiful in their own skin. They cleanse, exfoliate, wax, laser, moisturize and apply makeup. Who doesn’t want to make people feel happier with their face? There are some fantastic job opportunities which exist in this field which you might not know about. Read on to learn some things that estheticians can do.

Working with the Latest Technology and Techniques

In some positions, estheticians use new technology and techniques to make their clients look and feel their best. If you haven’t already received training on how to use these technologies and techniques, your new employer will teach you. Getting a chance to work with the latest and greatest is attractive to future employers, too, so don’t turn down learning opportunities.

Running a Spa

If you’re a licensed esthetician looking for a job, consider looking for a position running a spa. Spas want someone who has skin care knowledge, outstanding customer service skills, is responsible and works well with others. Estheticians have all of that experience, because they have received specialized training and enjoy working with people.

Working at a Plastic Surgery Clinic

Plastic surgery clinics frequently employ medical estheticians, who know how to use lasers in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and unwanted hair. However, there is also a role for traditional estheticians. After plastic surgery, patients need special skin care. Estheticians have that knowledge as well as the customer service skills to deal with clients.

Lash Specialist

Estheticians receive training in how to apply makeup. One of the latest trends is to have full lashes, which many women can’t achieve with mascara alone. That’s where lash specialists come in. Lash specialists are estheticians who have learned how to apply fake lashes. If you don’t already have this training, many salons will provide it for you.

Master Esthetician

A master esthetician has taken courses in facial and neck massage. He or she is also qualified to perform chemical or cosmetic treatments. You’ll find master estheticians in spas as well as doctors’ offices. A master esthetician might also be called a “medical esthetician,” because they perform esthetic medical treatments such as injecting Botox or skin fillers or they use lasers to remove hair. They can also apply permanent makeup through a tattoo process.
