Beauty Changes Lives With Just a Touch: Lesson Learned in Cosmetology School

A story from Lauren, the campus manager’s perspective of Ashley. “When I first walked into our Bellevue Campus at Evergreen Beauty College there was this lovely lady that ran up to me my first day with a hug smile. I had seen her before at a few of our events but with no hesitation she gave me a huge bear hug and told me she was so happy that I was there! I could feel that she actually cared about me before she even truly knew me. Nobody cares unless they know you care! That is Ashley Bashaw also known as Ashalina in a nutshell!

After getting to know Ashalina a little more I myself wanted to be around her more due to her positive and uplifting attitude. Mr. Joe our President came in and saw Ashalina as well and the first thing he said to me was “Ashalina would be a great person to represent our school for Business Student of the Year Competition in Long Beach.” At that point I couldn’t agree anymore!

I pulled Ashalina aside and shared with her what Mr. Joe had shared with me, she lit up and was so honored that we had so much faith in her. At that point we looked at Ashalina’s numbers and made a plan. She worked so hard from that day forward. Her numbers went up each and every month. You could tell she was proud of herself.

Ashalina is a day maker and is such a joy to be around. Always going above and beyond to make sure her guest, family and friends always come first. She truly understands that Beauty Changes lives and I have no doubt she will continue to do that for the remainder of her career and build upon our industry standards.”
