Diary of a Cosmetology Student

This month has been so crazy! I’m officially on the floor taking clients now, which is really exciting! It’s been so fun getting to meet new people and seeing them leave happy with their new look. Although I was super nervous to move from back class out onto the floor, it has turned out to be quite the adventure. Every day you are doing something new and having to adapt to what the day brings. I’m constantly learning new tricks and tips, and feeling more confident every day.

Along with the hustle and bustle on the floor, we’ve been quite busy with guest speakers too! Listening to the speakers is one of my favorite parts of school. I love hearing everybody’s stories and getting a chance to ask questions. Everyone has different experiences to tell us about, and it is reassuring to know that they started out where we are now. This career can take you anywhere, you can do so much with it if you are willing to work hard!
