Evergreen Beauty College is pleased to recognize this month’s Digital Marketing Award recipient: Danielle Reynolds! Danielle is one of our talented cosmetology students. This award highlights a student who is excelling in their online self-promotion efforts. This type of marketing is extremely important in today’s online world.

About Danielle

“I was working full time in a warehouse before I joined Evergreen. I’ve watched my aunt do hair since I was born so that’s what really got me into coloring people’s hair. I wanted to make a career of it so I decided to take the next step with Evergreen.”

Cosmetology is a trade that is often passed down through several generations in a family. Danielle is one of our students who has a beautiful family history in hair styling, coloring, and cutting!

We love to hear our students talk about their talents, strengths, client strategies, and other things that can make them successful in their future careers.

“I really enjoy coloring hair and then cutting it. I can’t wait to learn some barbering skills because I have a lot of men in my life and I really do enjoy men’s cuts. Everyone at Evergreen really do care about your work and makes you feel like family.”

“I personally feel like I’m really good at men’s cuts. I’ve learned new techniques to blend a line or styling men’s hair. It’s easy to style woman’s hair but for men it took me a bit of confidence to actually style their hair with product.”

The Evergreen Experience

Reviews and critiques are expected and respected at Evergreen. We believe that constructive feedback and criticisms help everyone, including us as an institution, grow! Here is what Danielle had to say about our cosmetology program and our culture:

“The[y] [Evergreen] offered a lot more teaching than the other schools did. Also to be honest Camilla was such a friendly and outgoing personality that she made me comfortable with coming to Evergreen.”

When talking about the best part of her course she said: “I think mostly the Nuts and Bolts program has helped me the most. Learning from other stylist what people are looking for and how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

We encourage all of our students to ask questions and give us feedback on our courses. That is the only way that Evergreen is going to continue to help its students become industry professionals!

The Next Step

“My plan is to continue to work at the salon in Ulta beauty and take a chair next to my wonderful coworkers.”

We admire Danielle’s drive to become a better cosmetologist. We think it is awesome that she took the initiative to get a job in the industry before she got her license. Her job will give her a great foundation for moving up on the career ladder.

Danielle is set to graduate in July of 2017, but we wanted her to share some advice with students who are just getting started.

“Ten hour days may seem like a lot but once you get up and get there it will be worth it.”

Thanks, Danielle, and congrats to you!
