Esthetics Student Success Story: Brianna Browning

About Brianna Browning

Glowing skin in always in! Brianna did a back microdermabrasion facial for her client.

Before Brianna started school at Evergreen Beauty College, she was working at a retirement facility as a CNA caring for elderly residents. She has always loved helping people in any way she can. Brianna felt that working in the medical field was stressful at times and began to take a toll on her in many different ways. Brianna realized she was ready for a change, and to take back her love of helping people, but with a change of scenery. She knew she always wanted to become her own boss and be successful at something she created herself. When asked what led to her choice to pursue Esthetics, and why she chose Evergreen Beauty College for her training, she had this to say: “I chose the Esthetics program because I’ve always been interested in skin care and doing lash extensions. I chose to come to Evergreen Beauty College because in my research of different schools, I found that the overall student experience was higher, and the environment seemed very warm and welcoming.”

The Evergreen Experience

Amazing before and after photos of an eyebrow wax Brianna, a Future Professional at our Renton Campus executed for her client.

Since starting the Esthetics program with us, Brianna has shared some of her highlights of what she has really had fun with, what has helped her so far, and what sets her apart from other Estheticians. Brianna told us that throughout her time in the Esthetics program, she has enjoyed being able to practice services, and to ask questions and better her skills and knowledge in something she loves doing. She believes it has taught her how to get in touch with skill sets she didn’t know she had. When asked about what she feels have become her specialties during her time in the program, she told us that “Two of my strengths so far are hair removal (waxing) and microdermabrasion.”

In Brianna’s feedback about the school assignments, she has valued and enjoyed most, she referenced an assignment she did in the 2nd phase of the program. She was required to create 6 facial treatments for 5 clients, listing the products and the 3 main ingredients in them. She said, “This assignment helped me better understand the products and how they help different skin types.” At Evergreen Beauty College, we really encourage our students to find within themselves what qualities make them stand out in comparison to other Estheticians, and what they could offer their clients that would make them want to continue to book with them instead of another Esthetician. In response to this question, Brianna said, “I like to try and be one step ahead when it comes to my work ethic. I believe I can offer going above and beyond for each client and target each of their needs while providing a clean and relaxing work environment.”

The Next Step

A phenomenal job with this half leg wax for her client.

We asked Brianna to fill us in on what her plans are after graduation, and she had this to say: “After graduating I haven’t fully figured out what I want to do, but I do know I want to work for someone and gain experience and more knowledge. I would also like to invest in starting my own business and become my own boss, while continuing to provide services. For those who plan on joining our Evergreen family, Brianna shares some words of advice. “Ask lots of questions.” She also thinks they shouldn’t feel bad or that they aren’t smart; everyone learns and processes things differently, so it is ok to clarify and ask.

Brianna is set to graduate this upcoming March of 2022. If you are interested in following her throughout the rest of her program, you can check her out on Instagram: @banditof beauty. Congratulations Brianna! Evergreen looks forward to seeing you realize your dreams! We wish you all the success!
