Esthetics Student Success Story: Sara Holden
It has been a pleasure to watch Ms. Sara Holden grow in the industry. Evergreen was able to award Sara for her hard work and dedication through our Bellevue location. Reaching for more education and sharing it to her followers on social media. I can not wait to share her journey with you, congrats Sara!
About Sara Holden
“Before I enrolled into the Esthetics program I was working as an office manager at a car import company. I have always wanted to go to beauty school although the timing has just never worked out, until now! I have always had a passion for the beauty industry and I am so happy I was able to make this change and pursue my dreams!” shared Sara.
Ms. Sara made the jump into her dream career and we asked why she chose Evergreen Beauty College as her first introduction into the beauty industry and her reply was, “I chose to attend Evergreen Beauty College because they had such a friendly, helpful, genuine vibe during the initial tour and all through the enrollment process.”
The Evergreen Experience 
Since starting school Sara shares some highlights of her program that she has found helpful:
“I have found the most helpful thing has been how hands on the training is. Every step of the way, we get the theory behind it, we get to watch it, and then we get to do it. We get to do it as many times as we need to, it ensures that we are prepared for our clients. Throughout the program so far, ‘I would say my specialty are brows. I love waxing and shaping eyebrows and seeing the beauty and enhancement it can bring to a face. Also, I just received my microblading certificate and I am so excited to begin that journey!”
“What I enjoy most is that I am going to be learning eyelash extensions, although I am not to that part of my training yet. I am really looking forward to this training because that is what I want to really focus on in the industry. I have an opportunity to get my foot in the door at a local lash spa working the front desk until I obtain my license and I couldn’t be more excited,” explains Sara.
The Next Step
“As for what sets me apart from other estheticians would have to be that I am very empathetic to my clients, I believe in more than just the traditional way. I want to offer my clients a mind, body, soul experience. Self-care is self-love. For this reason and also others, clients should book with me because I am very passionate about enhancing a person’s beauty. I want to let their inner beauty reflect their outer,” says Sara
Having a plan set into motion before you graduate helps get you that much closer to being placed in the industry, so it was no surprise that Ms. Sara already knew which direction she wanted to go after school. “My career plans for after I obtain my license is to move into a lash stylist position. As well as to continue perfecting my microblading skills. In this industry it is especially important to continue your education, that will also be apart of my plan after graduation,” says Sara.
We asked Sara what advice she would give any incoming students into the industry and her reply was, “My advice to incoming students is to make sure they have a passion for this industry and for the people in it as well as for their future clients. It is so import to #lovewhatyoudo!” Sara shared. I loved hearing this advice! So true Sara, so true!
