How Esthetics Grads Can Double Their Income

esthetician job opportunities

Once, beauticians faced nigh-impossible tasks armed with little more than cucumber slices and a face mask. Our estheticians today have the finest in cutting edge, futuristic technology to zap wrinkles, body hair, tattoos and more, quickly and quietly into submission.

Before, you could spend hours battling wrinkles with little visible difference.

A mud bath, although it felt amazing, could take several hours, and take almost as long to clean off after. For many, the time commitment would understandably be considered too much, forcing them to either sacrifice their time or simply forgo their beauty treatment.

Today, in the far-flung future of 2015, our client base has the same desires and needs, but now we have sufficiently advanced technology to face those same problems with the speed and safety of safe lasers. The client wants visible results, and they want them now, and today we can safely provide them.

An anti-aging facial in Dallas Texas takes approximately 60 minutes and costs 80-100 dollars. In contrast, a photofacial treatment called IPL (intense pulsed light) takes less than 20 minutes and costs about 300 dollars. The client gets better results quicker, and the esthetician could easily triple their income. Everyone wins, and that’s the best way to run a business.

Take a facial, for example. Although the client may enjoy the facial, and enjoys the smooth, dewier skin it provides, ultimately it just deals with the surface of the face, not the deeper skin layers. It does nothing for clients with rosacea, broken capillaries or wrinkles. IPL does, and with very visible results in a short amount of time. Bear in mind, IPL is not the only laser treatment you can provide, nor is it the most expensive.

With a laser certification, an esthetician can use technology to tighten skin, reduce scars and stretch marks, and remove tattoos, among many other non-surgical aesthetic improvements or alterations people want. Tattoo removal was impossible before, before merely becoming extremely painful.

Today, they can be removed almost painlessly over a short series of laser sessions. Clients are in love with the short treatments and fast results, and are all-too keen to explore additional new avenues in skincare.

If a laser certified esthetician is able to offer a range of laser treatments, such as hair removal, then they can quickly and easily create a loyal client base. A laser certified esthetician can do more and earn more, by working less.
