Master Esthetician Washington – Online Learning
To date, we are still waiting to hear about the proposed rules.
I eager as I am interested to launch our Master Esthetic Program.
As education and licensing is evolving, one of the ideas I have been thinking about is online training.
Although statute doesn’t allow for our industry to give credit at this current time, there are many other educational sectors that that have embraced it. With the Master Esthetic requirements, I think it would be interesting to have a small component where we could train online. Currently, the state requirements do not allow for credit to be given for online training, rather credit is assigned by hours logged, or otherwise known as ‘seat time.’
I am not suggesting that all the requirements be given online, but some components can be; theory hours, safety and sanitation testing, procedural understanding, etc.
There would still be a classroom component, however it could be offset by some individual training that would give licensed estheticians more flexibility.
It’s definitely worth a thought.
What are your thoughts? Do you like it? Hate it? Not care? Write me a comment and I promise to respond.
I love this idea! It would give more flexibility for people who need to work . I am a licensed esthetician and have a small business but would love to be able to obtain my master license by learning online at least part of the time allowing more balance in work-school-family life.
I would so Sign up for this! I am in Cle Elum and it’s difficult to travel that far with kids!
Kari, reach out to our Admission team and we would love to help you explore it. Right now, the option to do Distance Education is only temporary, but it’s worth exploring.
I would be very interested in an online course, as I work full time and this would give me a lot of flexibility. If this ever becomes available, I want to be the first to know!
I would love to do a master Aesthetician course online. I’m a RN and licensed esthetician, and I really want to get into working in a medi spa maybe even one of my own some day
Lysa, if you are a licensed Esthetician and an RN, the overlap in your license may allow you to practice without being a Master Esthetician. It may be worthwhile to check with your state regulatory bodies 🙂
Thanks! I definitely will check to see.
I read somewhere that in wa state you can do online training for esthetician course and it will be counted in your hours completed not all of it but some can be accepted in wa state. Is that definitely true? Because i do not live close enough to a esthetician school or one that provides that course and i unfortunately cannot travel to renton 5 days a week. Daycare also Around me does not go past 6:30 and i would need to be home way earlier for my child. I have been wanting this for along time, this is my dream job and i have been obsessed with skincare and knowing everything i can about skin, products. Procedures and treatments since i was a teen. I just really want this to work.
Renee, where do you live in Washington State?
Yes!!! I would love to get my Master Aesthetician on line as I am already an Aesthetician with a full clientele… and for me it would be about the only way I could make it happen. I look forward to hearing all of the details.
I would love this option! I am also already an esthetician and would like to advance my career. I would welcome an opportunity to do part of the program online and the other in person. Also, could this be an option for your Yakima location?
I would be very happy to do a mixed class o ss of online learning and hands on
@Sarah, which state are you located in? Have you checked out Evergreen Beauty College?
Would be great if some of our class could be on line I live on the hood Canal so would be much easier
I am relocating to Tri Cities WA. As a California Cosmetologist with 20 years in skin and spa therapy and 6 years working in a Med Spa for a Dermatologist. My reciprocity for WA is in progress. If I could do less travel to add this additional scope of practice and skills, I would be perfect for me.
Erin, I hope that you enjoy the Tri Cities area … it’s really a wonderful place! You should check into the local beauty schools in the area to see if they have a hybrid option!
Yes. Yes. Yes! I am a licensed esthetician and it makes perfect sense for a working person to do online study for master esthetician licensing. Is the state allowing this now?
Any update on the on line training?
Love the idea! As a full time mom, I also have to work full time to support my babes. & with schooling being full time as well it would give me the perfect balance in achieving my goals to become a master esthetician. Let me know when you open up that program! I’m totally here for it.
I am certanly interested in the on line portions. I work full time. I have been an esthetiian, cosmetologist, barber for many years. I would love to get the Master License for Esthetician. Please let me know when availble.
Are you guys still offering Master Esthetic program? I’d love to join if
I would love to learn online and maybe do some hands on work at end of school year. Because I am full time working, j won’t be able to roll in physically as I won’t be able to provide fully for myself. But online would give me an option to still pay bills and not worry about income dropping
Yesss! This would be great! I am a licensed esthetician but the closest master esthetician school to me is 1 hour 45 minutes away. I would love to have an option to do both in school to learn hands on and online to learn theory!
I would love to take online Master Esthetician Course. I’m a licensed Esthetician with a full clientele. Please contact me with more information.
