Money Saving Beauty Tips

Cooking oil will immediately dry and harden nail lacquer and can be applied to your nail polish if you need it dry in a hurry.

  • Avocado can soften and moisturize your skin, when you mash it and apply it to your face.
  • Cucumber can be used as an astringent for tightening pores, by wiping the cucumber with a cotton pad and then lightly wiping the pad over your face. Tired or red eyes can also benefit from cucumber.
  • Ice cubes can make your skin look better and help to lower your body temperature, and you should put as many as possible in your drinks.
  • Lemon can get rid of discoloration on the skin if you rub a slice lightly over the affected area. You can also enjoy natural highlights in your hair by rubbing lemon juice into it.
  • Sunflower oil can be used to make your skin look glossy and smooth, and if you add a few drops to your bath water you will notice the difference.
  • Teabags work much the same way as cucumber slices and can help to eliminate those dark circles if placed over the eyes.
  • Olive oil is good for removing cuticles if you apply it to the nail bed with a cotton bud and massage it gently in.
  • Wheat germ and honey when mixed together can get rid of dead skin cells and makes a great body rub. After using it, be sure to wash yourself thoroughly.
  • Eye drops can remove the redness from pimples if you dab them onto the affected area.
  • Eye and lip pencils if kept cold, will not break.
  • Lipstick lasts longer and is not as gooey when kept chilled.
  • Face cream and toners both feel much more comfortable if used at a lower temperature.
  • Sunscreen is easier to apply and does not run so much if kept at a lower temperature.
