Nail Technology Student Success Story: Tatyana Tkachenko

I get to recognize a classy lady that has classy work. Ms. Tatyana Tkachenko brought in another achievement this past month at our Everett campus as she finishes up the last of the nail program. Tatyana has been working her business and sharing her work all over her social media account and Evergreen awarded her this past month for getting her work out there and building her clientele.

About Tatyana Tkachenko

Ms. Tatyana has a passion for nails, always wanting to do something she loves, her family supported her journey into nail school. “I love working with nails. I love giving customers what they want, and seeing them leave with a smile on their face. I was a full time stay at home mom of two boys prior to enrolling into school, what a difference!” says Tatyana.

“I chose Evergreen Beauty College for a couple of different reasons, firstly, Evergreen was close to home and secondly, Evergreen is one of the few beauty schools that offers a reputable nail program. Most beauty colleges focus on cosmetology alone or pair it with esthetics (skin care),” says Tatyana. The nail industry is expanding and becoming more reputable thanks to Evergreen and some other school across the United States. Our philosophy is to unleash the creative minds that can preserve the integrity of the nails being worked on. Tatyana being one of those nail technicians looking at the whole aspect for the client.

 The Evergreen Experience

After sitting down with Ms. Tatyana I asked her a few questions about her experience thus far within her programs and she shares some areas that have been helpful to her, as well as areas of strengths:

“What I like most about the nail program is being able to make something from nothing. Some people come in feeling self conscious about their nails, and I give them a manicure that leaves them feeling good,” excites Tatyana. Leaving her clients with beautiful work and walking confidence!

“I feel very confident in my design skills. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel like I have learned a lot already. This is the part about being a nail technician that gives your the freedom to get creative. This is an area I enjoy and do very well in.”

“We learn a lot of theory, even as a trade school. Throughout school I have learned a lot of different subjects that I previously wouldn’t have thought I’d need to know within this field. Theory helps you understand why you need to do something a certain way, even if you may already know how to do that specific service. With this being said, there are correct ways to do a treatment. We are keeping the integrity of the nails and providing the education behind it to the clients as well,” says Tatyana.

Why book with Tatyana you may ask yourself, well, here’s why, “My motto is quality over quantity. I take a lot of time, I will not rest until I have achieved my clients desired result. It is really important for me to pay attention to the little details. You will not be disappointed😉 I will try my best to make sure you leave with a smile and with happy healthy nails.”

The Next Step

“My plans after graduation is to slowly build my clientele while working for myself and in the long run, possibly open a nail salon,” Tatyana shared.

We asked Tatyana what advice she would share to incoming students looking into the trade of nails and her reply came easily, “Practice makes perfect. Believe it or not, you never can get enough practice in. All I can say is, manicures and pedicures take a lot of time and practice and the experience will help you get to where you want to be,” offers Tatyana.

Ms. Tatyana is set to graduate this November 2018 and what better way to support her other than to come in and receive a treatment done by her at our Everett campus. You will not be disappointed! And if you are interested in continuing to follow Tatyana throughout her program, you can also check her out on Instagram @dream_nails_by_tatyana . Congrats Ms. Tatyana. We can not wait to see what you do in the industry.
