Hair Styling Tips for Short Hair

Contrary to popular belief, short hair is often more difficult to style and control than long hair. However, if you find out the shape of your head and the texture of your hair, you can figure out which cut and hairstyle is best for you.

Styling Short Hair

The following are great hair styling tips for short hair.

Choose a Cut That Suits You

Before you start reviewing your hair styling options, ensure you get a short haircut that flatters the shape of your face. This will ensure that even if you do not spend hours styling your hair, you are still able to highlight your facial features. For instance, if you have a round face, as your hair stylist to long bob-cut or pixie since these cuts end below the jaw and do not add unwanted width to your face.

Invest in a Good Volumizer

If you have straight hair, styling your hair can be extremely challenging and your hair may always seem to fall flat of your head. However, you can add volume to your hair by using a volumizer to curl the ends of your hair. If you do not want your hair to look flat, you also use a flat iron to curl your hair in short bob style which works out best for people with straight hair.

Pull Your Hair into a Bun

Pulling your hair into a bun is one of the simplest ways to style hair that is not long. Even if your hair is not long enough to pull up to the top of your head, you can try several other types of buns such as a side bun or twisted low bun.

If your hair is too short to wrap around in a bun, you can create the illusion of a bun by opting for a low-neck bun that you can achieve by tying your hair back once and then tucking it into your hair clip.

Invest in Hair Gel for a Curly Look

If you do mind making your look shorter in exchange for some soft, attractive curls, you can use hair gel and spray to curl your hair. After washing your hair, towel dry it, add a generous amount of hair gel and comb it to reveal some soft curls.
