Master Esthetics in Seattle – InMode Invasix Demonstration

Gary LaskAs I begin to discover more about Medical Esthetics, the more fascinated I become.  Today I had a chance to attend a presentation by Dr. Gary Lask, the Clinical Professor and the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Dermatologic Laser Center at UCLA.  It was at the Heathmen Hotel in Kirkland, sponsored by InMode Aesthetic Solutions.   I was a little reluctant to attend, as InMode/Invasix is a start up company.  Although their founders are well vetted,  start up companies carry a little more risk as their product has not been time tested.

I brought one of our faculty member, Cherie Haley along with me to the class; she’s been a medical esthetician for nearly a decade.  I asked her to help me understand more of the studies, ask the right questions and analyze the data.  After having a chance to talk to Dr. Lask and review the clinical studies, we decided to step up to be a model.

They performed a Forma treatment on both us.  Forma is a non-ablative, pain free thermally monitored skin contraction procedure.  Being 35, I was beginning to noticed some ‘crow feet’ around my eyes.  It really wasn’t a really a concern but figured it would be worth the experiment.   As I went through it, I realized that I had seen this treatment before on “Hollywood Extra!”  I pulled up YouTube and sure enough, it was it!  I didn’t realize it was a $2500 treatment I was getting … well that’s what the celebrities pay.   For more traditional med spas, the would be charging $900 – $1200 for the treatment.

It takes about 30 days for me to see the results of this ‘mini facelift’ and should last for 6 months.   I’ll have to wait to confirm the results, but am looking forward to see if this works.  I’m always a little skeptical, but from talking with a previous graduate that is now a trainer for Invasix, I’ll be open to it.

After having learned more about this, and getting ready for the new Esthetics laws next year, the Master Esthetic License will be very interesting.   The physicians that were at this event were really excited for the new laws, especially knowing that with the new changes, and this is something they can delegate to their estheticians.  It allows them an opportunity to treat more patients without committing a lot of time.

If you have more questions about the new changes to the Esthetics laws, please come to our FREE INFORMATION NIGHT.  Details are:  https://www.evergreenbeauty.edu/blog/free-infomation-meeting-for-master-esthetician-license-wa/
