Master Esthetics in Seattle – Proposed Rules Reading DONE!!!!

PerfectionLast week, I was able to go to the proposed rules reading in Olympia.   It was a formalized process; they had a comment section where members of the public came up to the microphone to address the Department of Licensing to share some final and formal thoughts.  When it came to the rules reading, I felt there wasn’t any ‘surprises’ as it was represented of everything was as discussed through this year.

Needless to say, it’s been an interesting process.   A lot of changes are moving forward due to this new law. Just like any change, there are areas that I am not crazy about, but there are also other areas that I am excited.  One area that captures my excitement is that it offers schools that want to raise the standard and grow Esthetics an avenue to deliver it.

In my previous blog post, I shared that I didn’t think it was responsible to enroll students and offer Grandfathering until all the rules were laid out.  The rules have been laid out, the process has started.

I am excited to announce that Evergreen Beauty College is so excited to announce that we will be offering the Master Esthetic Program in 2014!

We will have two tracks: One for already licensed professionals wanting to get Grandfathered and another track for those that want to start a new career as an Master Esthetician!
