Why Yakima?

This story started about about 4 years ago. The Trieu Family was having dinner in at a conference in Arizona with the owner of a beauty school in Yakima. She was looking to retire at that time and wanted to keep her school running and owned by another family, therefore she reached out to the Trieu family.

At that time the Trieu family was opening their newest school in Renton and did not have the resources or energy to travel to the other side of the mountains. Sadly, about 2 years ago, a school in Yakima needed assistance in closing their doors and the Trieu Family traveled over to Yakima to see if they could help. At that point, Evergreen was not in a position to transition into the Yakima community. During that process, Mama Thi, Frank, Theresa and Joe fell in love with the family culture Yakima provided.

2 years later, the Trieu’s did not forget about Yakima and found an opportunity to come back to the community they once fell in love with. The Trieu family has been in the process of remodeling an older facility that once housed a beauty school that was around for over 30 years and will be cherishing the history of the landmark and adding the culture Evergreen Beauty College is known for in their local communities of Everett,  Renton and now Yakima, Washington.
