Single Mom Shares Lessons Learned As She Conquers Beauty School

One of the requirements to be nominated for the International Business Student of the Year (IBSY) is that the student has been named one of the 12 Nuts & Bolts Student of the Month; Ms. Syverson was awarded this for three different months during the time that she has been at Evergreen Beauty College, Everett Wa.   Being awarded this month after month is a testimony to the true understanding and consistency that she lives out the principles.  When I asked our Guest Service Team what makes her stand out, Bianca Vanegas shared, “She has an incredible ability to connect with her guest. People that come to see her will start off as a client but leave as friend. That is why nearly everyone rebooks with her.” Relationships are key to what Nuts and Bolts Business Training Program teaches and she exemplifies that.

Kimberly’s commitment to excellence is also astounding. After leaving a challenging personal relationship nearly two years ago, she made a commitment to be the best version of herself.

She lost over 150 pounds (and kept it off) and has balanced school, work, and being single mom of two small children … all of which, she has excelled.

She shared, “I have the greatest children in the world.  They wake up at 5:00 am, go to daycare for over 12 hours each day, so they can support me in my new career and never complain.”  The reason why they do not complain is because their mom does not complain.  Together they are working to build a new family future.   Kimberly brought the same sense of teamwork to our community here at Evergreen Beauty College.   It is common to see students surround her station, looking to learn from her technical skills but also from her positivity.
