The Mani-Cam Nailed It!
Since the Red Carpet Mani-Cam debuted, are nail polish manufacturers going to fight tooth and nail to be used by the celebrities?
I doubt anyone can even remember who won an Emmy because the awards were overshadowed by new technology that was being trialled as the stars stepped onto the red carpet. The name of the new technological instrument? The Mani-Cam! Viewers at home now get to see how the stars are painting their nails and it gives the nail polish firms a big boost, too.
The celebs who attended the Emmy Awards were invited to place their hands into a photographic box so that everyone could get a closer look at their jewelry and nails. Naturally the gossip turned to nail polish as everyone wanted to know what color polish the stars were wearing. Good news indeed for the beauty companies.
Nail Cam a Breakthrough
Those who were asked to speak on behalf of WWD and OPI felt that they couldn’t say if the Mani-Cam had increased nail polish sales. But they felt that everyone seemed to fall in line with what the stars wore.
E! felt that the Mani-cam was here to stay and that could lead to a lot of competition on the carpet. Nail art is all the rage and every nail polish company in the world is going to want to see the celebs wearing their polishes.

Kelly Osborne sported the quarter-of-a-million-dollar Azature diamond black polish and the company lapped up the applause. Azature Pogosian created a cheaper version and it was a sell-out in Los Angeles.
Take a second to consider the knock-on effect of how jewelers and manicurists are all going to benefit. Every woman is going to want their hands to look younger so the dermatologists will be doing overtime.
Everyone who is anyone is the world of fingernails is going to be laughing all of the way to the bank. This is also great news for aspiring nail technicians, whose skills will be further sought-after in light of the attention paid on beautified nails.
